IAFF Local 2067 Committee Information

The following Committees are/were either voted upon in a Union Meeting or were developed by the Union President, or by Union meeting vote, to organize an event, purchase Union items, research the possibility of a procedure change, or perhaps solve a lengthy problem that could not or should not have been decided in a single Union Meeting. Often these committees work months on one project until it is completed and it no longer now exists. Committees will often bring back solutions or projects completed, or limit itself to a Union recommendation only.

Repairs on 2010 Clothing Orders

March 15, 2011 - This is text from an email the 'Clothing Committee' received concerning the previous 2010 Twid’s order:

"I'll give you a call this afternoon. RTG is not going to step in so we will be having to fix everything. That is fine to proceed and send out the email. All we ask is that if we have already fixed it or replaced that they not ask for another one. Thanks for your help in this." *Clarification for everyone - RTG is the company that Twid’s outsourced some of our clothing items to.

With this being said per our phone call 'the committee' is going to be collecting anything that needs to be replaced/fixed over the next several shifts. Ronny Davenport will be collecting these items until March 30th which will give everyone approximately 4 shifts in order to get me their items. Again these will only be items that were purchased in last years clothing order.

We would appreciate anyone that may need items replaced to bring them to station #2 and place them in a bag with their name on it. Also if you still have your receipt that would help out so much in making this process go faster.

Once more the deadline to turn in your items is March 30th, 2011.  After this deadline we will no longer be able to turn in any other items.

Thanks to everyone for their patience in this matter and 'the committee' is looking forward to getting this issue resolved.

January 13, 2011 - The committee would like to inform all personnel that ordered clothes in 2010 that the committee went and discussed the order with our supplier last week and they want us to stop taking our clothes to them at this time for the names to be fixed. This is due in fact to other issues with the 2010 that need to be addressed. They want to fix all the issues with the order at one time. So, to continue placing names on the shirts will just have them doing work on items they may have to replace. So at this time we are waiting to see what direction they are heading with fixing our order. The committee will let the members know what is found out as soon as we hear back from the supplier.

So at this time if you have any clothing that may need to be replaced, it is suggested that you get them together and also have the sheet you received with your clothing (or receipt from the order) that shows what you purchased. This may help make the replacement go much smoother.
